Bryan McCartney has studied the guitar for the past 10 years, learning skills for the
classical, acoustic, and electric guitar in rock, jazz, metal, folk, classical, slide (bottle-
neck), and even a little funk. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in
composition at Cincinnati Christian University. Not only has he studied guitar, but he
has also spent 13 years studying piano and other years studying voice, drums, and jazz
piano. He has pursued all of these skills to build up to a degree in composition.
His philosophy of teaching revolves around the idea that a good teacher can only be
measured by the skills of his student. Therefore, he is engaging a method of teaching
that challenges and encourages students with their own desires to grow as musicians to
produce good musicians.
